Woeser Bakery

Inserted away in the underground of Black Magic restaurant, this bakery will provide you peaceful surroundings in addition to a perfectly-brewed cup of cappuccino. Everyone swears by it and if you feel it needs more sweetness, you can dip a chocolate capped cherry right into it! What adds to the beauty of this warm bakery is the friendly nature of the owner who asserted to have worked hard to come up with the best recipe of carrot cake in all of Dharamshala! The waiters are forbearing as guests consider over the menu and are fast to serve the food once the order has been made.

Cost for Two: 400

Clay Oven

This is our beneficial and favorite spot in the main market place. So much so that the owner is our exigency contact for food, drinks, advice, and all other needs. As for the food, we loved the chicken momo; hot dumplings in the cold weather and their beautiful hot peach tea were joyful. We went a second time and got their desserts too. The lemon cake is a little bit dry but otherwise the food is delicious.

Cost for Two: INR 700

Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen

Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen is famous for pizza. We’ve even heard customers considering about their pastas and the chicken in red wine sauce. Think Big Chill at half the price, and with a good destnation. We suggest that you go with time on your hands because the service is a little sleepy, but then so is the town. The chocolate mousse is beautiful and appetizing.

Cost for Two: 600

Seed Café

If you're seeking for an evening where you can have some mouth watering dessert while enjoying living music, looking no further. Even during the day, Seed Cafe offers a very scenic view of the Dhauladhar range. From what we hear, the food here is always on point. From sandwiches and pancakes for breakfast to pastas for lunch, everything here justifies to be tried. Nevertheless, the portions served here are big and the staff is especially welcoming.

Cost for Two: 400

Tibet kitchen

You can't not have Tibetan food when you visit McLeod Ganj! With three floors and a lounge, this place is almost always full and the reason for that is the authentic Tibetan cuisine they offer. From succulent momos to the perfectly made thukpathis place provides you with a good variety. Moreover, the portions served here are huge and the staff is extremely welcoming. All in all, a gastronomically pleasurable experience.

Cost for 2: INR 350(Approximately)

Green Hotel

With people grinding about with their laptops or couples embracing on sofas, the Green Hotel is totally what it sounds like. A big garden at the back of the restaurant has everything from bracken to rose, and a view to die for. The back of the cozy place opens out on to the hills, and a scene of the valley from a height. This is an awesome joint for vegetarians, vegans and people who are sugar allergic. Plus, they have ledges full of books to trade from. Tourists come here to spend some peace here.

Address-Bhagsu Road, McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh

Moonpeak Espresso

We've all wanted to sit at a cute hill cafe while sipping the best brewed coffee on a lazy vacation, haven't we? That is exactly the environment that Moonpeak offers. With the best coffee in town, along with good portions of food, this is a cafe that all travelers want to visit. The fact that they offer free Wi-Fi may also have something to do with that!

Cost for 2:  INR 300 (Approximately)

Namgyal Café

Namgyal Café is famous for its vegetarian pizza. If you choose your pizza covered in pepperoni and sausages then you may be disheartened, but this restaurant is worth a visit even if you’re not attracted by the food. It is set within the Dalai Lama’s temple and most of the waiters are participants from a school for Tibetan Refugee children. Relax on the sunny rooftop and praise the view or jerk through the Buddhist books on providing in the cozy interior.

Cost for Two- INR 400

Trek and Dine

This is for those who have visited away from the rush of the city and are having fun in the wood-fired pizzas and late night soirees of Dharamkot. We tasted their Pita and Hummus and we must accept that a full bunch of hummus is not for the weak. We also suggest their espresso in the mornings and the sandwiches to go with. PS: Portions are big.

Cost for Two- INR 800

Shiva Cafe

We've all heard about this one from friends who visit McLeod Ganj and wanted to be right there simply for the hippie atmosphere. This is the place you go to when you want to have some munchies after some good quality stuff goes in your system. The ambiance is super chilled out and the view is breathtaking. Most people visit this place for the serenity it has to offer.

Cost for 2INR 300(Approximately)

Trekking: For The Adventure Junkies

Dharamshala is a paradise for the adventure junkies who look forward to exploring the rough trails of the mountains on feet. The trails of the mountains in Dharamshala are ideal trekking destination for the beginners and even the experts don’t miss out the chance to explore this splendid place. It is one of the best adventure sports in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

Famous Trails: Triund trek, Kareri Lake Trek, Bhagsu Nag Trek

Kareri Lake Trek

Kareri Lake is suited approx 40 kilometers North of Dharamsala and in Dhauladhar Range. The road is filled with green vegetation and the flora unique to the Himalayas. To get here, you need to start journey from Ghera village. If you get regular buses to Ghera it is easily available from Dharamshala. The route is cramped and tough at times. It’s not as popular as Triund or Bhagsu Nag treks thus making it more of a different path. There are a lot of different camping places in Kareri to spend the night here and you can return to Dharamsala next morning.

Paragliding

Paragliding is an adventure sport that involves float on a glider with no fixed support system. It follows different concept from a hot air balloon as the glider depends a lot on centralizing and centrifugal forces to help one glide in the air. In Dharamsala, most of the tour and travel agencies provide this type of service. It is a best activity to entertain in if you covet the adrenaline rush that comes always with any adventure sports.
