One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal is masterpiece structure of fine Mughal artistry. It was constructed under the sponsorship of Shah Jahan as a monument for his dearest wife Arjumand Bano Begum. Her body is manifest in the grave at the Taj Mahal. The designs of this structure embrace Persian and Mughal structure. The highlight of the architecture is the grave which is a large architecture made completely of marble. This includes bowls, celadon dishes, lotus vase, jade articles, porcelain items and so on. It is said that the celadon utensils change their colors, when poison is gievn in it. Jama Masjid

The Jama Masjid is a splendid architecture. The original name of this builder was Masjid Jahan Numa. Constructed by Shah Jahan, the very best of craftsmen, sculptors, engineers and thousands of laborers were used in the construction effort. For six years, all these people struggled continuously to construct the Jama Masjid. The cost of build of this structure was a million rupees. It is believed that many stones and construction items were gifted by nobles. The poetries of the Holy Quran were declaimed before consecrating and lying down of each stone. The Jama Masjid is necessarily a mosque located in hustling market of Chandni Chowk. The design is simple yet very creative. At any given point of time the mosque can accommodate more than 25,000 people. The mosque in total has four towers and there are three gateways to this place of worship. You can see two tall minarets of about 40 meters in height bounding the architecture. The Agra Fort is on the Eastern side of the mosque. This tomb is yet another showpiece from the Mughal period. Akbar’s Tomb occupy in more than 119 acres of land. Situated in the grounds of Sikandra, Akbar himself started this construction 1600. Situated in the fringes of Agra, the tomb is only a stone’s throw away from Mariam’s tomb. Adjoining by high walls, the building is four-tiered and pyramid cal in shape. The top of the tomb is made of marble. This is the false tomb as the real one is at the basement. The false tomb is necessarily a marble structure.
