One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal is masterpiece structure of fine Mughal artistry. It was constructed under the sponsorship of Shah Jahan as a monument for his dearest wife Arjumand Bano Begum. Her body is manifest in the grave at the Taj Mahal. The designs of this structure embrace Persian and Mughal structure. The highlight of the architecture is the grave which is a large architecture made completely of marble. There is a mound made of marble that conquers this area. It is amazingly designed. The outer decorations are as magnificent as the interiors and are compatible with the surface area and the proportionality of the designs is carefully planned and accomplished. Paint was the chief constituent for the decorations.

Situated in Agra, the splendid statue is open from sunrise to sunset and closed to the public on Fridays. The mosque inside the Taj is open for prayers though. Visiting this place is a beautiful and romantic experience.

This museum is situated inside the Taj Mahal complex, on the western side to the entrance of Taj Mahal. This gallery is deovteed to Calligraphic art. It is said that Shah Jahan was a fan of Calligraphy and you can find many carved jade articles with calligraphic art. You can also find household items used during Mughal region, in this gallery. This includes bowls, celadon dishes, lotus vase, jade articles, porcelain items and so on. It is said that the celadon utensils change their colors, when poison is gievn in it. On the final part of the display, you will find arms of Mughal era like dagger, swords and others.

 Agra Fort/Agra Red Fort

Agra Fort also called the Red Fort; this architecture dates back to the 16th century. It is located near the gardens of the Taj Mahal. It is over here that you will find the grand hall of audiences called Diwan-i-Khas. Also on destination are a couple of beautiful mosques. Jama Masjid

The Jama Masjid is a splendid architecture. The original name of this builder was Masjid Jahan Numa. Constructed by Shah Jahan, the very best of craftsmen, sculptors, engineers and thousands of laborers were used in the construction effort. For six years, all these people struggled continuously to construct the Jama Masjid. The cost of build of this structure was a million rupees. It is believed that many stones and construction items were gifted by nobles. The poetries of the Holy Quran were declaimed before consecrating and lying down of each stone. The Jama Masjid is necessarily a mosque located in hustling market of Chandni Chowk. The design is simple yet very creative. At any given point of time the mosque can accommodate more than 25,000 people. The mosque in total has four towers and there are three gateways to this place of worship. You can see two tall minarets of about 40 meters in height bounding the architecture. The Agra Fort is on the Eastern side of the mosque. Although you don’t pay for entrance, you have to pay for taking photographs.

Akbar's Tomb

This tomb is yet another showpiece from the Mughal period. Akbar’s Tomb occupy in more than 119 acres of land. Situated in the grounds of Sikandra, Akbar himself started this construction 1600. Situated in the fringes of Agra, the tomb is only a stone’s throw away from Mariam’s tomb. Adjoining by high walls, the building is four-tiered and pyramid cal in shape. The top of the tomb is made of marble. This is the false tomb as the real one is at the basement. The false tomb is necessarily a marble structure. There is a plan behind the construction of this tomb amongst interesting visitor places in Agra. The Charbagh area is separated into quadrant shaped spaces. Watercourses make this separation. This feature recreates the Behistan concept in which the tomb is placed at the centre of the garden. The gallery is reinforces by enormous pillars.

Moti Masjid

It is one of the structural magic in Agra. The reason it is called the Pearl Mosque is that it emit like a pearl especially when the sun is shining bright. The mosque was entirely constructed by the emperor for his royal court members. The mosque was constructed between the years 1648 and 1654. It stands on a sloping ground. In the centre of the court is located a marble tank. There is also a calendar made of a marble pillar and octagonal shaped in the region. The main entrance is situated to the East of the architecture. It is big and opens up to a better view of the mosque than the other gates. The Western wall is the one that fascinates the most. The beautiful sculptures on this wall leave you mesmerizing. There are even prayer halls for women at the Moti Masjid. This space is separated from the main hall. A marble screen separates the women’s prayer chamber from the rest.

Jodhi Bai Ka Rauza

This is the palace of one of Akbar’s queens who was his favorite. Also called Jodha Bai’s Palace it is a simple yet enlightened building. It is located in the region of the Jahangiri Mahal. There are some features of the Jodha Bai ka Rauza that have similarities to Hindu architecture. In fact many features of this structure combined the finest details of Hindu and Muslim architectural designs. This place is guarded by a portal. Here were the residences of Akbar’s favorite queen. After constructing of temple, Goswamis transferred the idol to this temple. Bankey means “Bent at three places” and Bihari means “Supreme enjoyer”. Bankey bihari ji is worshiped and looked after as a child. There is a different and unique style of celebrating every festival in Bankey bihari temple. The deity is dressed up and offered cuisine (bhog, prasad) according to season. Temple is decorated with lights and various types of flower according to festival.
